Welcome to KD Dressage & Sport Horses LLC, at Pine Hill Farm, in East Chatham NY. We proudly offer full service boutique style boarding and training services. With decades of experience, we are able to provide individualized care, catered to each individual horse and rider, that is truly horse first.. At KD Dressage we support our equine partners as athletes, meaning each detail in the training and management program is important to us, from a custom-tailored feed program, to add-on therapies ( PEMF Sport Horse Innovations #-1 Blanket) and specialized training programs. Our farm is very private, quiet and relaxing and has a serene environment that is essential for training and happy horses. To go alongside top-notch care and training, are safe grassy turnouts, run-in sheds, a brand new indoor arena with dust free fiber footing, large outdoor arena, round pen and a small chic private barn nestled peacefully into the back drop of our 38 acre farm.

Katrin Derreumaux is a USDF Silver and Bronze medalist who has spent most of her life dedicated to her dream and passion- training horses. Over the past several years she has developed a lovely string of horses from babies to FEI, honing her skills in horse behavior and horsemanship, growing the business and raising a family. She began riding at the age of 7 but her love of horses began much earlier. Growing up in a non horses family meant she found her horse family by the time she was 12 ( at Fox meadow Farm in Chester Springs PA with Gail O'neill) . Katrin worked for Gail for many years, under her tutelage she trained her TB mare Dozy to FEI, and they competed at many JR championships in Region 1. At Gail's she learned how to run an efficient and tidy stable where the horses lived long ,happy and sound lives. In her teens she also took on training horses and taught lessons. Katrin began working Jeanne McDonald an FEI 4* Judge and WB breeder during High School. She assisted with starting young horses, and was a groom/rider for a few years. She then went on to train with Lorinda Lende, a classical dressage master who is known for her creative / classical training style to train any horse to Grand Prix, as a working student. Before starting her own boarding and training business in 2010, Katrin spent a few years away from horses. She began her studies in social work, which took her as far a India for a few years. Her devotion to horses, and her life experiences away from horses, namely, working with people have shaped her into a very patient teacher, trainer and rider. Over the past decades Katrin has done clinics and ridden with many international level trainers and riders : Betsy Steiner, Michael Barrisone, Jennifer Marchand, Beth Baumert, Gary Rockwell, Laura Graves and Gerrit Cleas Bierenbrootspot to name a few. Currently Katrin trains regularly with her mentor of 7 years, Mark Hausman ( a Master horseman/ cowboy / horse whisperer ), under his guidance she has transformed some very difficult horses and trained them up the levels in Dressage. Katrin also has also been working with Catherine Haddad-Staller an international Dressage icon on and off as time allows over the past few years.
